COVID-19 death toll climbs to 1,017
As of 25 August 2021, a total of 1,017 patients had succumbed to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ghana Health Service has announced.
Some 630 cases were recently confirmed within the period.
According to the latest GHS figures, the active caseload is now 7,024.
Of that number, 54 are critical while 141 severe.
Since mid-March 2020, Ghana has recorded a total of 118,266 cases.
Out of that number, 110,225 have recovered.
