Cancer: Lancet Oncology C’ssion report launched
The Lancet Oncology Commission report to support the management, research, reporting, prevention, treatment and palliative care of cancer in Sub-Sahara Africa has been launched.
The report was launched at an event in Accra which was attended by the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo and other stakeholders including academics, researchers, practitioners, and traditional and religious leaders.
Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo said her Rebecca Foundation is doing its bit, particularly in the fight against childhood cancer and believes with all hands on deck and everyone’s involvement, “we can accelerate the implementation of our national cancer strategy.”
