Class Media Group, Ridge Hospital, Africmedia Galaxy to organise 2nd edition of ‘Pregnancy & Baby Fair’ mid-December
The Class Media Group (CMG), which owns nine radio stations (Class FM, Accra FM, No.1 FM, Kumasi FM, Adehyee FM, Sunyani FM, Dagbon FM, Ho FM and Taadi FM) and one TV station (CTV), across the country, has partnered with the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) and Africmedia Galaxy, to organise the second edition of the ‘Pregnancy & Baby Fair/Blood Donation’ this year.
The event is scheduled for the 15th and 16th of December 2022 at the hospital’s car park.
It is from 9 am to 4 pm, on the theme: ‘Avoiding Recurring Miscarriages’.
Mrs Samira Bawumia, the wife of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, will be the special guest of honour at the fair.
The topics to be treated at the fair include preconception care, pre-eclampsia, the importance of antenatal care, the importance of nutrition during pregnancy, danger signs in newborns, and the importance of blood donation during pregnancy.
As part of the fair, there would be various activities bordering on the theme, which include lectures on how to prepare oneself for pregnancy, free heart screening for babies, lectures on miscarriages, Christmas baby sales, free sugar testing, free HIV/AIDS testing, graduation for mothers (2021 – 2022), pregnancy fashion show, growing competition, as well as pregnancy and sales exhibition.
