FDA hosts delegation from National Drug Regulatory Authority of Mozambique

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) is currently hosting a delegation consisting of four members from the National Drug Regulatory Authority of Mozambique (ANARME).
This visit, scheduled from Monday, August 28, 2023, to Friday, September 8, 2023, is aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration between the two regulatory bodies.
Over the course of two weeks, the ANARME delegation will be engaged in a comprehensive understudy of the FDA's operations. Specifically, the delegation will focus on three crucial regulatory functions: Clinical Trials, Pharmacovigilance, and Market Surveillance. These areas are of paramount importance in ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of medical products within the market.
The FDA says the visit holds strategic significance as it aligns with its overarching vision to establish itself as a global center of excellence for the regulation of both food and medical products.
By facilitating such international collaborations and knowledge-sharing initiatives, the FDA seeks to enhance its regulatory practices and contribute to the advancement of regulatory standards on a global scale.
