Minority issues another 24-hour ultimatum over malfunctioning elevators at Korle-Bu

A day after a surprise inspection by the Ranking Member on Health in Parliament, Mr Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, some elevators at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital remain non-functional.
This was revealed following another unannounced inspection this morning by the Minority members of the Health Committee, again led by Mr Akandoh.
During the follow-up visit, the team discovered that elevators at the Radiology Department were malfunctioning, contrary to previous reports.
The inspection also revealed that the elevators at the Labour Ward were still in poor condition.
Addressing the press, Mr Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the Ranking Member on the Health Committee, issued another 24-hour ultimatum to the government and the Minister of Health to resolve the issue.
He emphasized the urgency of the situation and called for immediate action to restore the elevators to proper working conditions.
The Minority in Parliament has raised concerns over the state of the hospital's facilities, stressing that the current situation poses a significant risk to both patients and healthcare staff.
