Tamale South NDC deworms children, screens others
A group of health professionals belonging to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday, 31 October 2020, conducted a free health screening exercise for adults and dewormed children at Lahagu, a suburb of Tamale South constituency.
About 500 people in the community were screened for various illnesses, including hypertension, diabetes, malaria and the rest.
Some were treated while others were referred to the hospital for further management of cases that could not be managed at the screening centre.
Children between the ages of two and 10 years were also dewormed by the NDC health professionals.
The constituents were educated on the management and prevention of sicknesses.
The medical team used the opportunity to explain the NDC’s 2020 manifesto policies on health, in particular, to the constituents.
