2020 is Mahama’s – Toobu
Former President John Mahama will win the 2020 presidential election given the poor performance of the Akufo-Addo administration, Supt. Peter Lanchene Toobu (rtd), a former Executive Secretary to the Inspector-General of Police, who is now the main opposition National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate for the Wa West constituency, has said.
According to him, Mr Mahama demonstrated, while in office, that he was the best for the country due to the good policies he put in place, as well as the infrastructure he built.
Mr Toobu has, therefore, asked the electorate to compare the achievements of Mr Mahama and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and vote for the NDC flag bearer because of his achievements.
Speaking on the Ghana Yensom show on Accra100.5FM on Wednesday, 4 September 2019, Supt. Toobu called on all the parliamentary candidates of the NDC to work hard in order to ensure the NDC wins more seats in parliament in the 2020 polls.
He said if Mr Mahama will win the polls, it will largely depend on the work of the parliamentary candidates across the country and, thus, urged them to campaign for Mr Mahama as they go about their own campaigns.
Mr Toobu expressed optimism of winning the Wa West seat for NDC.
