2020 polls: I’m coming with full force – Ayariga
The founder and leader of the All People's Congress (APC), Dr Hassan Ayariga, has announced his decision to run for president when nominations open for the 2020 general elections.
The former presidential aspirant is making a comeback after the Electoral Commission disqualified him in 2016 over some anomalies with his nomination filing process.
He told Blessed Sogah, host of Class91.3FM's political programme, State of the Nation, that he intends to contest again.
Dr Ayariga said his decision to join the race was borne out of the failure of the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party's administration to fulfil its many promises to the Ghanaian people.
Dr Ayariga is expected to announce his decision officially in the final week of September 2019.
The presidential hopeful also added that Ghanaians were fed up with the duopoly of the governing NPP and the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
