#2024Polls: Napo votes at Manhyia South with family

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on Ghanaians to participate actively in the 2024 elections as they head to the polls today, Saturday, 7 December 2024.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, cast his vote at the Apagyafiem polling station in the Manhyia South constituency of the Ashanti Region, accompanied by his wife, Alma, and his mother.
This gesture underscores the importance of family participation in the democratic process.
Speaking to the media after voting, Napo urged all Ghanaians to exercise their civic duty and vote for a better future for the nation.
Voting began promptly at 7 a.m. across Ghana’s 276 constituencies, with many citizens arriving as early as 3 a.m. to ensure they voted within the designated hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The presidential race features 15 candidates, with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the ruling NPP and former President John Dramani Mahama of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) dominating a highly anticipated contest.
In addition to the presidential race, voters will also elect Members of Parliament (MPs) for all 276 constituencies nationwide.
