AG reshuffle rumour "false" – Kpemka
Deputy Attorney General, Mr Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, has urged the public to disregard information circulating on social media that his boss, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Ms Gloria Akuffo, and some other appointees of President Nana Akufo-Addo, are to be fired or reshuffled.
Mr Kpemka explained to Class 91.3FM’s Jerry Akornor that: "It's absolutely false", adding: "My hardworking and principled boss, Gloria Akuffo is at post".
"It's a rumour, it's not the first time, they are trying to force the president to come out, these are all speculations", he said.
According to Mr Kpemka, "Somebody sits in his office in a social media grace period, formulates something and throws it out".
In a separate development, Mr Kpemka has also told critics of the government to exercise patience with the President as far as the release of a white paper concerning the findings of the Emile Short Commission of Inquiry into the 31 January 2019 Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election gun violence is concerned.
It is has been almost six months since the Commission submitted its report to the President.
According to Mr Kpemka, “The President will issue the white paper on the report at the appropriate time”.
