Akufo-Addo begins 7-day official visit to Germany

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has begun his seven-day official visit to Germany.
The Ghanaian leader is in Germany at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Mr Akufo-Addo is expected to deliver a speech at the 75th-anniversary celebration of the formation of North Rhine-Westphalia State, the leading industrial region of Germany.
He will also be the guest of honour of the North Rhine-Westphalia Academy of International Politics and also deliver a speech.
The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Mr Eugene Arhin, who disclosed this in Accra last Friday, said the seven-day visit was aimed at deepening the bond of friendship between the two nations.
While in Germany, Mr Akufo-Addo will meet with the management of Pfizer to seek to secure more vaccines for Ghana to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
Apart from these, Nana Akufo-Addo will also address the meeting of the German investment community and participate in the G-20 Compact initiative programme.
