Akufo-Addo's 'sakawa' gov't has put your lives in reverse gear; vote him out – Mahama to Ghanaians
Ghanaians must vote out President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government because their lives have retrogressed under him, former President John Mahama has said.
According to the presidential candidate of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), a government that has worsened the living conditions of the citizens is not worth retaining in office.
“If you vote for a government and it comes into power and the quality of your life is going in reverse then you have to vote the government out”, Mr Mahama said to the people of Navrongo in the Upper East Region on his recent tour there.
The former President said the Akufo-Addo government has been nothing but a scam.
“This is the greatest political sakawa that has ever happened,” he said.
He accused the government of destroying more jobs that it claims to have created in the past four years.
“This government has destroyed more jobs than it has created”, Mr Mahama said, adding: “The only job they can point to is NaBCo, and yet they have destroyed more than 10,000 jobs in the bank sector.”
“All the GN Banks used to have staff in them all over the country” but “today, where are those staff? They are all sitting at home.”
