MP on tour of the projects in Amassaman

The Member of Parliament for Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mr Sedem Kweku Afenyo, has marked one year in office with a comprehensive inspection tour of key development projects across the constituency.

The milestone was commemorated on Tuesday, January 7, 2026, exactly one year after Mr Afenyo took the oath of office as MP. To mark the occasion, he was joined by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Amasaman, Mr John Desmond Nai, on a tour aimed at assessing ongoing and completed projects and engaging directly with stakeholders and project managers.

The inspection exercise focused on evaluating the progress, quality and timelines of projects to ensure they deliver maximum benefit to residents of the constituency.

According to the MP, the tour formed part of efforts to guarantee value for money and uphold high standards in public infrastructure delivery.

Projects visited spanned critical sectors including education, health, drainage systems and road networks, reflecting the breadth of development priorities within the constituency.

The initiative, officials said, demonstrates a commitment to responding promptly to the needs of residents while ensuring that development interventions meet acceptable quality standards.

Mr. Afenyo reaffirmed his dedication to diligent service and accountable leadership, noting that effective monitoring and engagement are essential to translating policy and investment into tangible improvements in the lives of constituents.

The one-year anniversary tour has been welcomed by community members as a sign of responsive governance and a renewed commitment to advancing development in the Amasaman Constituency.
