Ameyaw-Cheremeh assumes Speaker role in absence of leadership
The Member of Parliament for Sunyani East Constituency in the Bono Region,Mr Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, has been nominated as the Presiding Speaker for Friday's parliamentary proceedings due to the absence of Speaker Alban Bagbin and his two Deputies, Joseph Osei Owusu and Andrew Asiamah Amoako.
In adherence to the new standing orders, the Clerk of Parliament oversaw the nomination of Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh as the Presiding Speaker. The nomination was presented by the Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh and MP Nsawan Constituency in the Eastern Region, and seconded by the Minority Chief Whip, Governs Agbodza.
In this temporary role, Mr Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh will preside over parliamentary proceedings, ensuring the continuity of legislative activities in the absence of the Speaker and Deputy Speakers
