Ato Forson pledges humble and transparent leadership as Finance Minister
Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, the newly approved Finance Minister, has expressed his gratitude and outlined his vision for the nation’s financial future.
Following his nomination by President John Dramani Mahama and subsequent approval by Parliament on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, Dr Forson took to social media to share his commitment to serving with humility and integrity.
"I am deeply humbled and grateful to the Almighty God for this opportunity to serve Ghana in the capacity of Finance Minister," he stated.
Dr Forson also extended his appreciation to President Mahama, Parliament, and Ghanaians for the trust placed in him to shoulder this immense responsibility.
He assured the public that his tenure would be marked by diligence, transparency, and a focus on tackling key economic challenges.
"Together, we will work to bring down inflation, stabilise the Cedi, create jobs, foster inclusive growth, and create opportunities for all Ghanaians," Dr Forson pledged, emphasising a commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
The Finance Minister-designate highlighted his vision to make Ghana a hub for investment and innovation, stating, "Let me emphasise that Ghana is open for business. We welcome partnerships and investments that will drive sustainable development and prosperity for all."
He concluded with a call for unity, resilience, and hard work, expressing optimism for the nation’s future progress.
