Bawumia unveils campaign team today

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is scheduled to unveil his campaign team today, Monday, February 19, 2024, before the National Executive Committee and National Council of the party.
Following this meeting, the names of the campaign team members will be officially disclosed.
Party sources have hinted that former Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Dan Botwe, will likely assume the role of Campaign Manager for the upcoming 2024 general election.
The possibility of Dan Botwe being appointed as the Campaign Manager comes on the heels of his recent removal, along with other ministers, in a reshuffle conducted by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo last week.
While it remains uncertain if the potential campaign manager position is linked to the reshuffle, insiders close to the NPP flagbearer suggest that the decision was reached after extensive consultations with the party's rank and file.
