Bryan Acheampong’s reassignment plot to rig 2020 – Asiedu Nketia
The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has said President Nana Akufo-Addo’s reassignment of Mr Bryan Acheampong from the Ministry of National Security to the Ministry for the Interior is part of a grand scheme for the governing New Patriotic Party to rig the December 2020 elections.
“It is a slap in the face of the Emile Short Commission. And I believe that it is a cog in the whole orchestration to rig the elections,” Mr Asiedu Nketia told journalists in Parliament on Thursday, 13 February 2020.
Apart from Mr Acheampong, the President also reassigned Mr Henry Quartey, who was a Deputy Minister for the Interior. He is now a Deputy Minister at the Ministry of National Security.
The reassignment was contained in a statement signed by Mr Eugene Arhin, Director of Communication at the Presidency.
