COVID-19: Ghana Freedom Party suspends April Congress
The Ghana Freedom Party has suspended its National Maiden Congress scheduled for April.
This follows the ban on public gathering by President Akufo-Addo as part of measures to prevent further spread of the Coronavirus.
Ghana has so far recorded seven cases of the deadly virus.
According to the National Executives of the party founded by Akua Donkor, the suspension of the congress which was scheduled to be held in April, 2020 is in adherence to the President’s directive.
The executives, however, revealed that: “the new date will be communicated” to its “Party faithfuls and the General Public in due time” while its communicators embark on a “door to door campaign ahead” of the postponed of congress.
