Cape Coast North MP files nomination, calls for transparent polls and launches community projects

Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, has officially filed his nomination to contest in the upcoming December 7 elections.
The filing took place on Thursday, 12 September 2024, at the Cape Coast North Electoral Commission (EC) office.
Speaking to the media, after submitting his nomination forms, Dr. Nyarku urged the Electoral Commission to ensure that the December polls are conducted impartially.
Dr. Nyarku emphasised the need for transparency, fairness, and a free electoral process.
"We are counting on the EC to deliver elections that are free, fair, and transparent. The people of Cape Coast North and indeed all of Ghana deserve nothing less," he stated.
Following the filing, Dr. Nyarku toured major towns across the 49 villages within his constituency, engaging with residents and reaffirming his commitment to development in the area.
The day’s activities were capped with a ceremonial sword-cutting to commence the construction of a new AstroTurf at Pedu, a project aimed at boosting sports and recreational facilities in Cape Coast North.
