In a fiery response, Mr Ernest Owusu Bempah, the Deputy Communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP)  has addressed recent social media remarks made by Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, National Democratic Congress’ Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region in which he attempted to downplay Mr Bempah's petition to the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) regarding Okudzeto-Ablakwa's conduct as a Member of Parliament and business owner.

Mr Bempah, visibly irked by Mr  Okudzeto-Ablakwa's comments, did not mince words in his statement dated Wednesday June 12, 2024.

 "Ordinarily, I wouldn't give this egocentric, moronic crackpot the oxygen of publicity he so obviously craves," Bempah began. 

"But his clear attack on my person cannot go without a measurable response."

Mr Bempah emphasized that his petition to CHRAJ is grounded in law and evidence, addressing Mr Okudzeto-Ablakwa's alleged violations of Article 98(2) of the Ghanaian Constitution, non-compliance with the code of conduct for public officers, and deliberate evasion of taxes. 

He criticized Mr Okudzeto-Ablakwa for resorting to what he described as "facile and satirical politics" on social media instead of presenting a proper defense.

"Any sane mind who has cited my petition to CHRAJ would attest that the issues raised are actually rooted in law and evidence," Bempah stated. 

"Instead of this caricature of a politician mounting an appropriate defense at CHRAJ, he's engaging in facile and satirical politics on social media platforms."

Mr Bempah further lambasted Mr Okudzeto-Ablakwa's political style, accusing him of being detached from reality and calling him a "narcissistic sociopath with dangerous levels of self-delusion." 

He questioned how someone like Mr Okudzeto-Ablakwa could be allowed near Parliament and suggested that psychological evaluations for elected representatives might be necessary.

"In all honesty, has there ever been a more satirical politician than Mr Okudzeto-Ablakwa?" Mr Bempah asked rhetorically. 

"The terrible truth is that he constantly makes himself the center of the argument, but he gets surprised when reality comes biting him."

Concluding on a dramatic note, Mr Bempah likened Okudzeto-Ablakwa's situation to a Shakespearian tragedy. 

"Just like the tragedy in King Lear, Mr Okudzeto-Ablakwa's agony of loss will be evident to all," he said
