Dapaah takes over on-leave Adwoa Safo's ministry 'until further notice'
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has extended the leave of absence from office for the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Sarah Adwoa Safo, a statement from the presidency announced on Wednesday, 6 October 2021.
It said the Dome Kwabenya MP’s leave of absence was to have ended on 31 August 2021 but has been extended.
“In her absence and until further notice, President Akufo-Addo has directed the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, to act as caretaker minister for the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection”, the statement signed by the Communications Director at the Presidency, Mr Eugene Arhin, noted.
