Dr Razak Kojo Opoku urges NPP to embrace truth and renew leadership ahead of 2028 elections
Dr. Razak Kojo Opoku, a strategic member of the “Dr Bryan Acheampong for President 2028” campaign team under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged party members to distance themselves from dishonest political practices and focus on rebuilding public trust.
In a statement, Dr. Opoku cautioned against “the politics of lying about facts, exaggeration of facts, wrong interpretation of data, manipulation of data, unnecessary spinning, and whitewashing of prevailing reality,” stressing that the road to victory in 2028 would require a new approach.
“The gravity of work ahead of NPP in 2028 is NOT a JOKE,” he emphasised, calling for a significant renewal of the party’s leadership.
“We have to change the majority of the faces and voices leading the NPP in order to win the trust of the Ghanaian people,” he added.
Dr. Opoku’s comments on Facebook come as internal discussions on the party’s future direction intensify, with growing calls for both policy and leadership reforms to position the NPP competitively in the next general election.
