EC extends voter's registration exercise by two days

Despite initial claims by Samuel Tetteh, the Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations at the Electoral Commission (EC), that the ongoing voter’s registration exercise to capture fresh voters onto the electoral roll would not be extended, the elections management body has announced an extension.
In a statement dated May 24, 2024, posted on its website and social media handles, the EC stated that the exercise will now end on May 29, 2024, instead of Monday, May 27.
This extension is intended to compensate for the network challenges that affected the first two days of the exercise.
