Ejisu by-election: EC withdraws 2 officials captured on video receiving alleged bribe

The Electoral Commission (EC) has acted in response to a video allegedly showing two of its temporary staff members receiving a suspected bribe.
The footage, captured during the Ejisu by-election, portrays a man placing a white envelope on the table before the EC officials.
In a statement, the commission reiterated its commitment to upholding principles of "integrity, truth, and transparency".
Pending an investigation into the incident, the two staff members have been withdrawn from their duties.
The EC emphasised its adherence to values of integrity during the training of all temporary staff and asserted any actions undermining the institution's integrity will be met with appropriate sanctions.
The alleged bribery was captured by the lenses of the media as part of the coverage of the by-election for the replacement of the late Dr John Kumah.
