GA/R: MP renews insurance policies for over 2,000 constituents
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Mr Patrick Yaw Boamah, the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, renewed insurance policies for over 2,000 constituents in collaboration with Pinnacle Life Insurance and Ringfence Insurance.
The event, held at the St. Charles Lwanga Roman Catholic Church, saw representatives from various groups, including mechanics, hairdressers, shoemakers, chop bar operators, carpenters, barbers, car dealers, car washing attendants, drivers’ unions, footballers, and members of the clergy.
This initiative aims to provide insurance coverage against death, permanent and temporary disabilities, and medical expenses for beneficiaries.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Boamah highlighted the importance of securing the welfare of his constituents through proactive measures.
He emphasized that the insurance policies would offer a safety net for members of these Associations, ensuring they are protected in times of unforeseen circumstances.
The partnership with Pinnacle Life Insurance and Ringfence Insurance underscores the MP’s commitment to addressing the social and economic needs of the people in Okaikwei Central, fostering a sense of security and resilience within the community.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful, especially for workers and small business owners in vulnerable sectors.
