Ghanaian politicians're "wicked, treacherous, professional jokers" who think of no one's good – Rabbi Odame

Ghanaians who are banking their hopes on having a sudden better life because 2020 is an election year would be “fantastically disappointed” because Ghanaian politicians are “wicked” people who do not think about the citizenry, Rabbi Odame Ansah has said.

According to the host of Class91.3FM’s inspirational and motivational programme ‘Walking Tall’, which airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m., the year 2020 will not suddenly change the circumstances of Ghanaians just because it is an election year.

“Ghana, let’s stop deceiving ourselves [that] this is an election year and things are going to get better”, he said on Wednesday, 8 January 2020, asking: “Who told you so? How many election years haven’t we had?”

Things, the Grace House Chapel founder noted, “Will not get better because we’re in 2020”.

“In fact, the most reliable candidate you can bet all your last on is you”, he advised Ghanaians, noting: “It’s not Nana Akufo-Ado, it’s not John Dramani Mahama; what are the names of the rest?”

“The best person who can provide a decent accommodation for you and your family and yourself is you; the best candidate who can provide food for you and your family in 2020 is you”.

“So, if you are thinking of an election-year and you’re betting your hope on the fact that this year is an election year, so, ‘life is going to change’, ‘things are going to get better’, you’d be highly, fabulously and fantastically disappointed because when it comes to Ghana and politicians, we are dealing with people who are fabulously not serious, jokers, professional jokers; we’re dealing with wicked, treacherous people who will never ever think of the good of people – the citizens”, he added.
