It's fake; no freeze on security recruitment – MoF
The Ministry of Finance has denied media reports that President Nana Akufo-Addo had frozen all recruitment into Ghana’s security services.
A statement issued by the Ministry on Tuesday, 27 April 2021, described the statement announcing the recruitment freeze as false.
The ministry said the fake reports are an attempt by “unscrupulous persons to create mischief.”
“We wish to assure all stakeholders that the Ministry is focused on delivering on its mandate through the 2021 Budget and the Ghana CARES programme to ensure quick economic recovery and structural economic transformation,” the statement noted.
