Mahama nude photos & J.B. murder: Ignore Ken Agyapong's "fevered imagination" – Mogtari
The office of former President John Mahama has described as false, a claim by Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong that the late lawmaker for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah-Adu was murdered in 2016 because he had in his possession nude pictures of Mr Mahama.
Mr Agyapong made the allegation on his Net2 TV station this week.
Danquah-Adu was murdered on 9 February 2016 at his Shiashie home in Accra.
Two suspects are standing trial for the muder.
Responding to Mr Agyapong’s allegation, Mr Mahama’s Special Aide, Joyce Bawa-Mogtari, said in a statement that: “While [former] President Mahama does not intend to lend any dignity to the usual rants of Kennedy Agyapong, I am instructed to deny all the claims he made on his TV station, seeking, as always, to denigrate the person and reputation of the former president”.
“There is no iota of truth in the allegations”, she added, saying: “They are complete fabrications and figment of fevered imaginations”.
The former deputy minister of transport said: “It makes no logical sense that a man, who has tried all these years to denigrate the person of the former President, would have such information, and will, for almost three years since his party has been in office, not present it to the investigative authorities”.
She said Mr “remains focused on advocating an alternative and sincere working government and would urge the good people of Ghana to treat the vituperations of Mr Agyapong with utmost contempt”.
