Mahama punches Bawumia for ignoring religious leaders' peace campaign

Former President and NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has criticized President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for disregarding a peace campaign initiated by religious leaders.
Mahama, who emphasized his commitment to national unity and stability, said he temporarily paused his campaign in the Northern Region to return to Accra in support of the peace initiative.
Speaking to supporters at Kwamekrom in the Biakoye Constituency of the Oti Region as part of his ongoing #Mahama4Change2024 campaign, Mahama argued that the governing NPP, currently in power, should not have dismissed the peace campaign.
He urged the ruling party to be honest with Ghanaians.
In a direct challenge, Mahama called on Dr. Bawumia to fulfil promises by paying allowances to nursing trainees and NABCO personnel, asserting that the NPP needs to uphold truthfulness in its commitments to the people
