Mahama warns Akufo-Addo against refusal to hand over power
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, Mr John Dramani Mahama, has issued a stern warning to President Nana Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over recent comments suggesting that they may not hand over power to the NDC if it wins the December 7, polls.
Mr Mahama cautioned that any attempt to undermine the will of the people in the upcoming 2024 elections would be firmly resisted by Ghanaians who are eager for change.
Mr Mahama gave these warnings while addressing residents of Oyibi in the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency of the Greater Accra Region during the final day of phase two of his campaign tour in the region.
He emphasized that the NDC is prepared to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process, adding that the people's desire for change must be respected.
“Any effort to suppress the will of the people will be met squarely by Ghanaians,” Mr Mahama stated, underscoring the growing demand for leadership change across the country.
