Ministerial approvals: NPP whips its MPs to storm Parliament today
The leadership of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is urging its Members of Parliament (MPs) to storm Parliament today, Friday, March 24, 2023, to fully participate in all proceedings for the day on the floor.
The party leadership issued this whip following the outcome of the proceedings of Parliament on Thursday, March 23, 2023, that led to a stalemate on the approval of some nominees into ministerial positions.
The leadership through a statement dated March 23, 2023, and signed by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, entreated the whip of the Majority caucus to ensure that no MP absents him or herself from the House today Friday, March 24, 2023, to get to government business accomplished in the supreme interest of the party.
The statement explained that the party is committed to supporting and rallying behind the government in achieving the desired economic transformation for the good people of Ghana
