Movement for Change: E-KOD underlines ‘distinguished honour’ being Kyerematen’s running mate

Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso, alias E-KOD, has appreciated “the distinguished honour of being the vice presidential candidate on the ticket of the Movement for Change and Alliance for Revolutionary Change”.
The lawyer said this in a letter dated Monday, September 16, 2024, and signed by himself.
The former singer and entertainer asserted the “opportunity to partner the leading non-partisan political figure” and “the formidable” Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen “to run for the highest office of the land” was purposed solely for the “transformation” of “our nation”.
Addressing “our Afrafranto family”, alias supporters of the Movement for Change which is symbolised by a butterfly, known in Akan as afrafranto; “and all Ghanaians, particularly the youth,” Kwame Owusu Danso asserted: “it is time to rally behind a government of national unity” which is focused on the “economic and political transformation” Ghana “desperately needs”.
Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, a founding member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), resigned from the party after losing the presidential primary. He left the party and his Trade & Industry ministerial office to announce his presidential aspiration as an independent candidate on the ticket of the Movement for Change (M4C) in April 2024.
Supported by Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso, whose vice presidential candidacy was announced on September 12, Kyerematen's biggest contenders as Ghana goes to the polls on December 7, are Vice President and NPP flagbearer Mahamudu Bawumia, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.
