NE/R: Dep. NADMO boss dismissed
A suspended MP aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Nalerigu-Gambaga Constituency in the North-East Region, Mr Peter Wuni Baaga, has been relieved of his post as Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Oraganisation (NADMO).
Mr Baaga was, last week, suspended by the party for breaching the general guidelines governing the parliamentary primaries after he appeared on a local radio station in Nalerigu on Tuesday, 12 May 2020 and revealed that the NPP won the seat in 2004 and 2016 because he masterminded the rigging of the elections in favour of the current MP, Hajia Alima Mahama.
According to the party, the MP aspirant also breached Article 4(7) of the NPP’s constitution.
A letter by the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare, who indicated that she was acting on behalf of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, did not give reasons for the dismissal of the deputy NADMO boss.
