NPP Diaspora eyes collaboration with IDU to empower youth
The New Patriotic Party Diaspora branch is exploring ways to leverage its relationship with its International Democrat Union (IDU) member partners to create opportunities for the party's youth, both in the diaspora and in Ghana.
According to Chairman Janis Asare-Bediako of NPP USA, this collaboration could lead to exciting opportunities for young people, including cross-border dialogue and training, technology sharing, campaign strategy, and policy coordination.
In a statement released on the occasion of the 4th of July celebrations in Washington DC, Chairman Asare-Bediako emphasised the importance of creating opportunities for the youth and rebranding the party to attract this key voter bloc. "Creating opportunities for the youth and rebranding our party to attract this key voter block will be the key to wrestling back power in 2028," he stated.
The NPP Diaspora has identified several potential areas of collaboration with its IDU member partners, including:
- Cross-border dialogue and training opportunities for youth
- Sharing technology and digital tools to advance the party's objectives
- Sharing campaign strategy and tactics
- Coordinating on policy issues through joint workshops
Chairman Asare-Bediako believes that NPP USA can take the lead in this diaspora initiative, leveraging its vast intellectual resources and access to technology to drive the effort.
"I strongly believe NPP USA can take the lead in this diaspora initiative by virtue of the vast intellectual resource and comparably easy and cheaper access to technology," he stated.
The proposed collaboration between the NPP Diaspora and its IDU member partners marks a new era for the party, one that prioritises youth empowerment and technological innovation.
