NPP confab: Alan got bigger applause despite VP's humongous generosity to A/R NPP – Spokesperson
The spokesperson for the ‘Alan for President 2024 Campaign’ in the Ashanti Region has said the show of love to Mr Alan Kyerematen during the governing New Patriotic Party’s regional delegates conference even though he was not personal there, was indicative that the party has settled on him as the NPP’s next flag bearer.
Mr Abraham Boadi (Opooman) made this disclosure in an interview on Accra-based Happy FM today, Wednesday, 27 October 2021.
According to the former Presiding Member of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, the region has fallen for the Minister of Trade and Industry.
He said the loud cheers that greeted the introduction of the Alan team at Ejisu during the conference was encouraging.
Mr Boadi noted that when Vice-president Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team led by Mr Fred Oware, a former National First Vice Chairman, made a donation of GHS20,000 to each of the 47 constituencies and GHS200,000 to the region, the delegates were indifferent about it.
He added that this gesture did not receive any loud applause from the delegates but the applause was loud when Mr Kyerematen’s name was mentioned even though he did make any donation to the region.
