NPP has delivered; will win 2020 – Tema East MP aspirant
The Tema East parliamentary aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Benjamin Ashitey Armah, has said the Akufo-Addo-led government has delivered almost all the promises it made to Ghanaians, therefore, the party will win the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
In his view, the government has successfully implemented key promises that touch the core of the nation’s development, including the free senior high school programme, One District-One Factory, One Village-One Dam and the One Constituency-One Ambulance project.
Dr Armah also mentioned that the economy is back on the right path under the Akufo-Addo administration, therefore, the mandate of the President and the NPP will be renewed in this year’s polls.
Speaking on Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM hosted by Kwabena Prah Jnr, (The Don) on Monday, 17 February 2020, Dr Ashitey stated: “The NPP won the 2016 elections based on the promises we made to Ghanaians.
"The party will win the 2020 elections based on the performance that we have seen so far in the management of the economy and also the fulfilment of the promises.”
He further said all the economic indicators are pointing in the right direction under the current administration.
“The government has delivered and almost everybody is seeing apart from those who want to do propaganda.
"The economy is doing well and more will be done to further strengthen it,” he said.
Dr Armah further revealed plans of the NPP to simplify publications of its promises to the understanding of all Ghanaians irrespective of their status in the society.
