The Nationwide Supporters of Alan Cash (NAWSAC) has strongly criticised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for allegedly "using money as a tool", in a "blatant" attempt to sway youth support from Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change by offering financial incentives.

In a statement issued on Monday, April 22, 2024, NAWSAC expressed concern over what it perceives as the NPP's "awful" and "panicky" mode of deceptive tactics that have forced the party to "stoop so low" and urged young people not to succumb to monetary inducements.

Luther-King Junior, the group’s convener, emphasised that youth are disillusioned with both the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) due to what they view as manipulative behavior.

He reiterated their steadfast commitment to supporting Alan Kyerematen's leadership.

"The true young people of this revolution can not be bought," the group said.

NAWSAC also expressed dismay at the NPP's belief that financial incentives could sway young people, describing it as a sign of the party's lack of credibility.

"The depth of intelligence of the NPP has to be questioned as they ate celebrating the fact that they have used money to persuade poster-sticking and noisemaking babies to join them," the statement added.

The Movement said the NPP must be a "laughing stock" if it thinks it has succeeded in using money to lure those members who wield no influence whatsoever.

The group emphasised that young people are no longer willing to be taken for granted by traditional political parties and urged them to recognise the futility of relying solely on traditional campaign tactics.

NAWSAC urged political parties to engage with youth on substantive issues rather than resorting to superficial tactics, emphasizing the youth's determination to play a significant role in shaping the country's future.
