NPP looting state funds as if there’s no tomorrow – Ken Agyapong
Kennedy Agyapong, a prominent contender for the flagbearer position within the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has levied serious accusations against his own party, alleging embezzlement of state funds and their illicit storage in foreign accounts.
A video of Mr. Agyapong's impassioned remarks has gone viral across social media, highlighting his frustration with the prevailing situation.
In the video, a visibly agitated Mr. Agyapong expressed disbelief at the high levels of unemployment among Ghanaian youth while accusing members of his party of plundering public funds.
He vocally questioned the motives behind this alleged corruption, asserting his willingness to risk his life to champion the cause of the country's youth and improve their circumstances.
He exclaimed, “NPP is looting this country as if there’s no tomorrow. You loot and save the money abroad, why? The youth of this country are not working and you’re intimidating people, I will put my life on the line for the youth of this country.”
Kennedy Agyapong is one of the four contenders vying for the NPP's flagbearer position, with the selection set to take place on November 4.
If elected, he will lead the NPP in the 2024 general election, where he is expected to face off against former President John Dramani Mahama as the primary competitor.
