NPP polls: UE/R Minister files nomination to contest Navrongo Central seat
The Upper East Regional Minister Tangoba Abayege, on Thursday, 20 February 2020, filed her nomination forms to contest the Navrongo Central Constituency parliamentary primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP).
The NPP’s primaries are scheduled for Saturday, 25 April.
Before filing her nomination, Ms Abayege paid a courtesy call on the paramount chief of Navrongo, Navro-Pio Pe Denis Balimia Adda IV, to seek his blessings.
Navro-Pio Pe Denis Balimia Adda urged the aspirants to see themselves as one people with different ideologies with the aim to develop the Navrongo Central Constituency.
Ms Abayege, who was accompanied by some youth, party enthusiasts and women from the Kassina Nankana municipality when she picked her nomination forms, will be contesting against the incumbent Kofi Adda, who is also the Aviation Minister.
