NPP primaries: Deputy Finance Minister goes unopposed at Ejisu

On Monday, December 25, 2023, the Electoral Area Coordinators and Polling Station Executives of the Ejisu Constituency of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region took a significant step by officially submitting the Parliamentary election nomination form on behalf of Dr. John Ampontuah Kumahand Deputy Minister for Finance.
This move followed their initial action on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, when they collected the nomination form for the sitting Member of Parliament.
Chairman Akwasi Twumasi, representing the group, conveyed to the Election Committee that they opted to independently pick and file the nomination papers at their own expense.
Their decision was driven by the substantial development initiatives that Dr. Kumah has spearheaded in the Ejisu Constituency.
Consequently, they firmly believe that Dr. John Kumah is the most suitable candidate, especially during this period, to propel the socioeconomic advancement of the Ejisu Constituency.
Mr. Brobbey, the Chairman of the Ejisu Constituency Election Committee, informed the media that by the close of the nomination period, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah was the sole candidate who had both picked up and filed a nomination form.
Therefore, Dr. John Kumah stands unopposed as the only contestant in the upcoming NPP Parliamentary Election in the Ejisu Constituency
