NPP warns Wontumi over endorsement of Presidential hopeful
The National Executives Committee(NEC) of the governing New Patriotic Party is cautioning the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi- Boasiako otherwise known as Chairman Wontumi together with all serving officers to desist from endorsing any of the party’s presidential aspirants in the race to lead the party to the 2024 general elections.
A statement dated August 5, 2022, and signed by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong said the attention of NEC has been drawn to a video in circulation, in which Mr. Bernard Antwi -Boasiako is seen openly endorsing one of the party’s presidential hopefuls.
The statement added that the General Secretary extended an invitation to Mr. Antwi-Boasiako and engaged him on the need for officers of the party at all levels, to desist from such conduct.
