Non-operation of the Komenda sugar factory is unacceptable- VEEP

The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has asked the chiefs and people of Komenda in the Central Region to be patient while the government works at addressing developmental challenges
During a visit to the Komenda Traditional Area, the Vice President pledged that the government would take urgent steps to rehabilitate the community’s deteriorating road network, which residents say is contributing to serious health issues due to dust and poor infrastructure.
The Chief, Okatakyie Komeh VIII requested that the Vice President and her government expedite action in revamping the Komenda Sugar Factory to create jobs for the youth in the town and other persons.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang acknowledged that the prolonged non-operation of the sugar factory is unacceptable and assured the chiefs and people of Komenda of the government’s resolve to make the factory functional once again.
