Omane Boamah was a strategist, mastermind and quiet supporter of many-NDC Director of Legal Affairs

A week after the passing of Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, the Director of Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Godwin Eduzi Tameklo narrates how he consulted Dr Edward Omane Boamah on strategic issues affecting the growth of the party.
Mr Tameklo made this narration in a heartfelt tribute to the former Minister of Defence, describing him as a strategist, mastermind, and quiet supporter of many.
Reflecting on their working relationship, the NDC Legal Director noted that Dr. Boamah’s insights and approval on legal matters for the party were invaluable.
“Once I got his impact or go-ahead, I knew I had covered many grounds,” he said, adding that the late politician’s behind-the-scenes encouragement strengthened numerous initiatives within the party.
He further described Dr. Boamah as “a cheerleader of many” whose contribution to the NDC and Ghana’s democratic discourse would be remembered.
“God keep Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah. I don’t know whether to say, ‘It is well,’” he said in an emotional close to his statement.
Dr. Boamah, a respected statesman and medical doctor, served as Minister of Defence under the Mahama administration and was known for his strategic political work and commitment to public service.
