Opoku-Agyemang mourns murdered NDC financier
Former President John Mahama’s running mate, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has commiserated with the family of Mr Akwasi Banahene, a businessman and financier of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who was murdered on Friday, 21 August 2020.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang noted that the state of insecurity in the country is getting out of hand, and the “perpetrators of this cruel act must be brought to justice.”
Mr Banahene was shot dead at his Mim residence in Asunafo North of the Ahafo Region just when he had returned from work.
His killers are unknown.
His body has since been deposited at the Goaso Municipal Hospital for autopsy.
