The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on voters in the Guan Constituency to hold the New Patriotic Party (NPP) accountable for denying them representation in the Eighth Parliament.

Speaking to residents of Likpe on Thursday, as part of her two-day campaign tour of the Oti Region, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized that the December 7 polls offer an opportunity to rectify the injustice inflicted upon the people of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe, and Lolobi (SALL) traditional areas.

She criticized the ruling party for its failure to address the needs of the Constituency, which she said has suffered from neglect in terms of developmental projects, including roads, schools, water, and health facilities.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed shock that the NPP could campaign in the Constituency, erecting flags and posters, after denying the people representation in Parliament for four years.

"They turned their backs on you, denying your right to representation, and all legal efforts by the NDC to seek justice proved futile.

Now election time has come, and it is your chance to make amends," she said.

The NDC Vice Presidential Candidate accused the NPP of resorting to vote-buying tactics, including distributing money and food, to influence voters.

She urged residents to accept any inducements but to cast their votes for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Parliamentary Candidates to secure the constituency's future.

"The NDC is committed to reversing this injustice and delivering the development you deserve.

Your vote is your voice, and it is time to make it heard," she stated.
