Government accountability series

In a move to enhance transparency and promote public accountability, the Presidency Communications Office has announced the launch of a new initiative dubbed "The Government Accountability Series."

The programme is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 14, 2025.

The series will provide a structured platform for key sector Ministers to present mid-year updates on their respective portfolios, offering Ghanaians an opportunity to assess the government’s performance over the past six months.

According to the Presidency, the briefings will be held three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—at 11:00 a.m.

The inaugural session will feature the Minister for the Interior, Alhaji. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, who is expected to outline developments in the country’s internal security, immigration, and public safety sectors.

The Government Accountability Series aims to foster open dialogue between government officials and the public, ensuring that citizens are well-informed on national progress, challenges, and the steps being taken to address them.

More ministers are expected to appear in the coming weeks to deliver comprehensive sector reports as part of the series.
