Speaker Bagbin advocates for personal responsibility among MPs as calls for strict code of conduct enforcement increase

Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has called upon Members of Parliament (MPs) to embody the change they wish to see in the nation.
In a recent address at the Speaker's Breakfast Prayer Meeting, organizsd in collaboration with the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship, he underscored the vital need for moral and ethical standards among legislators.
Mr Bagbin announced a renewed emphasis on the strict enforcement of the Parliament's Code of Conduct, emphasising that adherence to these guidelines was not optional.
He warned that any member who failed to comply would face severe repercussions, demonstrating the seriousness with which the leadership intended to uphold standards of integrity.
The Speaker's approach to leadership underlines transformation begins at the individual level. By promoting self-improvement and accountability, he aims to set a higher standard for all MPs.
