Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, will today, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, pay a working visit to the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition in Accra.
The visit formed part of the Vice President’s ongoing engagements with key Ministries to familiarise herself with their operations, assess policy priorities, and strengthen coordination in the delivery of the government’s energy and climate agenda.
Officials of the Ministry, headed by Dr John Jinapor, will welcome Prof. Opoku-Agyemang and brief her on ongoing programmes, challenges, and strategic plans aimed at ensuring a reliable energy supply while accelerating Ghana’s transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.
The Vice President is expected to engage with management and staff of the Ministry on issues including energy security, renewable energy development, and the government’s broader green transition strategy, which seeks to balance economic growth with environmental sustainability.
Her visit will underscore the government’s commitment to enhancing efficiency within the energy sector and advancing policies that support climate resilience and sustainable development.
