Violence is alien to our politics, go out and vote on Saturday – MP urges Ghanaians

The Member of Parliament(MP) for Okaikwei Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Patrick Boamah, has called on Ghanaians to turn out in large numbers on Saturday, December 7, 2024, to vote for the governing New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the party's Parliamentary Candidates.
Speaking to journalists at his residence in Tesano, Mr. Boamah reassured the public of a peaceful electoral process, dismissing claims by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that violence could mar the elections.
"There will be no violent incidents on Saturday.
Violence is not the style of the NPP," he stated confidently.
He strongly argued that violence is alien to Ghanaian politics assuring that nothing untoward would happen.
The MP who is the Chairman of the Finance Committee of Parliament emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability before, during, and after the elections.
He expressed optimism that Ghanaians would endorse the NPP’s candidates, saying, "As a party, we have worked hard and expect the constituents to reward us by voting massively."
Mr. Boamah also praised Dr. Bawumia for his impactful campaign, describing him as a leader who has effectively communicated his vision and deserves the mandate to drive Ghana’s development to the next level.
He reiterated his commitment to a violence-free electoral process in the Okaikwei Central Constituency, encouraging residents to vote peacefully.
"I can assure everyone that we will vote peacefully, and at the end of the day, the NPP will emerge victorious," he added.

As the country heads to the polls, the MP urged all Ghanaians to prioritize peace, assuring them that the NPP is ready to lead Ghana into a brighter future.
