Vote for honest leaders, not those who'll lie to you-Mahama

Mr John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asserted that true leadership is rooted in honesty.
Reflecting on the past eight years under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, led by President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, he emphasized that this period has provided valuable lessons for Ghanaians in differentiating between empty promises and genuine leadership.
During a courtesy visit to chiefs and community members in Wichaeu, as part of his campaign tour in the Upper West Region, the former President delivered a strong critique of the current administration’s performance.
He argued that effective leaders do not merely offer sweet promises; instead, they are truthful and realistic about what they can deliver.
Mr Mahama expressed that the New Patriotic Party should step back into opposition to reflect on the hardships they have caused Ghanaians and the damage inflicted on the economy. He stressed that only after this period of reflection should they consider returning to contest again.
